LIMITATION OF IMPORTS EMERGENCY ACTION PENDING (Received September 3, G. 5 p.m.) ""fish Wireless RUGBY, Aug. 31 Major , 10. Elliot, Minister of Agriculture, held an interview with representatives of the potato exporting countries with a view to taking emergency action tor the regulation of imports Pending the coming into operation of the home marketing schemes and a permanent system for the regulation of potato imports. It lias been arranged that during the four months September to December imports from the Netherlands and Belgium shall not exceed 8000 tons and 200 tons respectively. Other foreign exporting countries do not usually export potatoes to the United Kingdom market at this time of tho year have been asked to refrain from doing so for tho remainder of the year^
