REAL-LIFE TRAGEDY
SUBJECT FOR NEW FILM A real-life tragedy of pre-war days —the shooting of Stamford White by Harry Thaw in a New York roof garden to avenge the honour of Evelyn Neshit —is to be made the subject of a screen draipa by Metro-Qoklwyn-Mayer. Though the cast has not been definitely settled, it is proposed that Jean Harlow shall play the beautiful artist's model with Franchot ■Tone as Thaw and Clark Gable as White. The real Evelyn Nesbit became a film actrfess some years after the death of White and attained considerable prominence as a>atar lof silent pictures.
