MOUNT ALBERT COUNCIL
A largely-attended meeting of ratepayers of E Ward, Mount Albert, held in the Owairaka school last evening, unanimously selected Mr. H. A. Anderson, of Preston Avenue, Mount Albert, as a candidate in tho forthcoming Borough Council by-election. Mr. 11. Ferner, whose election to the Mayoralty of Mount Albert has rendered an election in tho ward necessary, attended tho meeting at the request of the conveners, and warmly endolfe<rd Mr. Anderson's candidature. Nominations close next Friday.
