MILK GRADING METHODS
CURD TEST CRITICISED RESOLUTION AT WOODVILLE [by telegraph—press association] WOODVILLE, Friday Ninety representatives of dairy factories in the Wairarapa, Bush and Southern Hawke's Bay districts met at Woodville to-day to discuss the milk grading regulations. Strong criticism was levelled at the dairy division for insistence on the curd test, which the meeting considered was obsolete. A resolution was passed unanimously that the meeting was of the opinion the department was making a grave mistake in insisting on grading by means of the curd test. Acting on the recommendation of scientists and the BusbWairarapa Factory Managers' Associations the meeting demanded an amendment to the regulations so that either the blue or microscopic tests might be used at the option of the Factories' Association.
