THE FARMERS' UNION Branch roports of the Waitemata t»rovincial Council of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, aro as follows: Ardmore. —The president, Mrs. Finch, presided at tho monthly meeting, and reports of tho Dominion conferenco and tho Waitemata Provincial Council meeting were read. Tho competition, " A Child's Garment from Something Old," was won by Mrs. Finch, and resulted in a parcel of 23 garments being collected for welfare work. Tho roll-call was " Uses of a Lemon." Mangatangi.—Tho monthly meeting was held in Mr. J. Cumming's woolshed, and three new members were enrolled. The branch welcomed Mrs. Twining, of Mangatawliiri, who demonstrated wool embroidered cushions. Mrs. Parris, showed members how to make pretty crochet slippers.' Pukekoho East.—ln tho absence of the president, Mrs. S. Hamilton, vicepresident, presided. It was decided to join with the ladies' guild in holding a show of spring flowers on September 12, and a committee was formed to mako the necessary arrangements. A parcel of clothfng was prepared, to be forwarded to Sister Esther. A demonstration in. reed-loom work was given by Miss C. Benjamin, and was very much appreciated.
