GAOL FOR VAGRANCY
THREE MONTHS' SENTENCE [BY TELEGRAPH OWX CORRESPONDENT J EOTOKUA, Thursday A plea of guilty was made by Robert {Tames Bvdon in the Police Court today on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person. Senior-Sergeant Carroll said that accused, who represented himself as a farmer, came to Rotorua about a fortnight ago and stayed at a boarding house, where he tendered a worthless cheque and got change from the proprietor. He went to another boarding house, where he stayed for a week ana left without paying his board. He then went to a third boarding house, where he tried to change another cheque. Accused was arrested at Whakatane.
The justices imposed a sentence of three months' imprisonment.
