DIAMOND JUBILEE The committee organising tho diamond jubileo celebrations of tho Onohunga District School, in searching old records, have discovered the names of many old pupils who now occupy prominent positions. Among these arc tho Hon. Thomas Bavin, ex-Premier of New South Wales, Mr. U. P. La wry, S.M., Mr. W. IT. "Woodward, S.M., Mr. George Davis, of the Gelatine Manufacturing Comnnny, Sydney, Dr. Kenneth Gordon, Dr. A. L. do B. Noakes and Mr. V. R. Meredith, Crown Prosecutor. Under the organisation of the chairman, Mr. K V. Sutherland, sub-com-mittees have been set up, each handling one. decade of the school's history. October 20, 21 and 22 have been fixed upon as tho dates for the celebrations, and it is evident from the numerous replies to the committee's circular that the differont functions will bo well attended. Of all tho headmasters of tho school since 1870, only two survive, Mr. A. McGregor and Mr. A. E. Trnyos.
