DEFEAT OF GOVERNMENT i LIBERAL PARTY'S VICTORY HALIFAX, Aug. 22 The Conservative Government of Nova Scotia, led by Colonel the Hon. Gordon S. Harrington, was defeated at the gener.nl election to-day by the „ Liberals under Mr. Angus L. MacDonald. The present state of parties in the now House of Assembly ia as follows: Liberals . . . . . . 21 Conservatives . . . . 8 In one,,case two candidates received an even number of votes. Tho Premier was re-elected by a Email majority, but all his colleagues in the Administration, except the Minister of Highways, Mr. P. C, Black, were defeated. Six Independents were not a factor in tho results. I
