REPRESENTATIVE MATCH AUCKLAND AND WEST COAST GOOD EXHIBITION EXPECTED Special arrangements for the representative match between Auckland and West Coast, to be played at Carlaw Park on Saturday. \Vero discussed at last evening's meeting of the management committee of the Auckland Rugby League. The chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said he hoped both teams, -would give a; good exhibition Of the codo. It was reported by-the coach, Mr. J. . Rukutia, that four players had been absent from representative training on Tuesday evening. It was decided to co-operate with the eelectors and ask. for an explanation should any players bo absent this evening. ' ~ ' . Tho Hawke's Bay League advised' that its representative team would arrive in Auckland ; on, Thursday, August \ 31,. under the managership of Mr. H. C. Nicholls. The Nortliiand Rugby League! wrote'expressing its appreciation of the ■ splendid treatrhe'nt received and the support given its team during the recent representative fixture with Auckland. The Ponsonby Club complained of the non-attendanco of a referee in a junior match at Carlaw Park last, Saturday. The club asked for an explanation. The matter was referred to the Referees' Association for a report. The request from the Ponsonby Club for nn extension of IJie duration of time in tho special senior club competition now in progress was refused.
