ALLEGATION OF THEFT
TWO MEN UNDER ARREST [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] PUKEKOHE, Wednesday A charge of the theft of a package of plants and a handbag containing clothing and toilet requisites of a total value of £3 5s from a railway carriage at Mercer on Monday was brought against John Thomas Head, aged 47, and Francis Walsh, aged 40, in the Pukekohe Police Court to-day. Accused, .who were arrested by Constable H. J. Olsen, of Mercer, were remanded to appear at Pukekohe next Wednesday.
