PAKURANGA HUNT

MEET AT EAST TAMAKI The Pakuranga Hunt met at Greenmount. East Tainaki, yesterday and good sport was enjoyed by a large number of followers. Hounds threw off into Mr. H. Swaffield's property and a hare was put up, but was killed before it had a chance to get clear. The hunt then moved to Sniales' Mountain and a hare was put up which, after passing through Mr. A. Smules' farm, crossed the road to Mr. Cozens' property and worked back to Mr. Swaffield's farm. It then took cover in gorse, but tho hounds worked it out and tho hunt crossed tho mountain to the Greenmount Estate. Several stone walls were met and after passing through Mr. W. Nettle's property a kill was made on Mr. Swaffield's land. Tile hounds moved on to Mr. C. Allen's farm, where a hare was put up on the side of tho hill. It took the field across Smalts' Mountain to Mr. Swaffield's property, where it crossed a salt-water creek and tho hounds were called off. Among tho followers wero:—The master, Mr. 11.
