MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB RESULTS OF ROAD RACES Two road Taces -were conducted by the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club on Saturday afternoon over its course at Avondale South. Fine weather prevailed and racing conditions were ideal, but for tho presence of a light northerly breeze, which slightly slowed riders on the finishing straight. In the junior event of ten miles there were nine starters. The result was:—A. W. «T. Brumby (455), 29m 51s, 1; G. W. Holland (455). 29m 625. 2; C. T. Dwight (45s)> 29m 535, 3; R. C. Chappell (4m), 33m 9s, 4. Fastest time was registered by E. R. Hansen, scr, in 29m 335. The seniors raced over ten laps, 25 miles. There were 25 starters. The result was:— L. M. Nicholson (3m 45b), 72m 275, 1; J. W. Clark (3m 455). 72m 28s. 2; G. H. Wheelhouse (3m), 71m 50s, 3: 11. li. Dwight (lm 30b), 70tn 21s, 4. The fastest rider was H. R. Dwight, lm 80s, who returned the time of 70m 21s. AUCKLAND CLUB Senior and junior races were conducted by tho Auckland Cycle Club at Tamaki on Saturday afternoon. Following were the r«Eight Miles Junior Race.—J. Bicknell (sm), 26m 455, 1; K. McKenzie (2m). 2; R. Gibbs (lm 455), 3; W. Bicknell (2m). 4. Gibbs registered fastest timo in 24m 345. 25 Miles Senior Handicap.—P. Bicknell (3m 455), G6m 475, 1; W. Adams (10m 30s), 2; F. Fieldsend (5m 15a), 3; R. Halliday (3m 455), 4. M. Hibburt (455) registered fastest time in 63m 455. AUCKLAND LADIES' CLUB A four-laps handicap was held by the Auckland Ladies' Cycle Club on Saturday. Miss V. Baird. scr, who registered fastest time, broke her course record by 30s. The result was:—Miss H. Robinson (50s), 12m 435, 1; Miss E. Swinburne (30s), 12m 345, 2; Miss V. Baird (scr), 12m lis, 3 AUCKLAND AMATEUR CLUB Fast riding was a. feature of the Auckland Amateur CycVe Club's race of 12 miles at Te Atatu on Saturday. Taylor registered fastest time. • LYNNDALE CLUB Eleven risers competed in the Lynndalo Amateur Athlotic and Cycle Club's road race on Saturday oyer 25 miles of the New Lynn circuit. Following was the result:—K. Banks (2m 30s), 77m la, 1; H. Norris (Gm 15s). 81m 49a, 2; C. May (4m 30s), 81m 17s, 3; A. Davies (3m 30sJ, 81m 375, 4. Banks registered fastest time. THAMES CLUB'S EVENTS [from ouk own correspondent] THAMES, Sunday The Thames Cycle Club held an 18 miles race yesterday over the Thamcs-Kopu circuit The results were:—S. .Tones, limit, 1: R. C. Burr, limit, 2: W. Burr, lm, 3. The fastest time was gained by W. Burr, 54m ss. Next Saturday the club will stage an unpaced championship race for a medal. The race will be run in conjunction with a sealed handicap.
