MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB RESULTS OF ROAD RACES Two road Taces -were conducted by the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club on Saturday afternoon over its course at Avondale South. Fine weather prevailed and racing conditions were ideal, but for tho presence of a light northerly breeze, which slightly slowed riders on the finishing straight. In the junior event of ten miles there were nine starters. The result was:—A. W. «T. Brumby (455), 29m 51s, 1; G. W. Holland (455). 29m 625. 2; C. T. Dwight (45s)> 29m 535, 3; R. C. Chappell (4m), 33m 9s, 4. Fastest time was registered by E. R. Hansen, scr, in 29m 335. The seniors raced over ten laps, 25 miles. There were 25 starters. The result was:— L. M. Nicholson (3m 45b), 72m 275, 1; J. W. Clark (3m 455). 72m 28s. 2; G. H. Wheelhouse (3m), 71m 50s, 3: 11. li. Dwight (lm 30b), 70tn 21s, 4. The fastest rider was H. R. Dwight, lm 80s, who returned the time of 70m 21s. AUCKLAND CLUB Senior and junior races were conducted by tho Auckland Cycle Club at Tamaki on Saturday afternoon. Burr, limit, 2: W. Burr, lm, 3. The fastest time was gained by W. Burr, 54m ss. Next Saturday the club will stage an unpaced championship race for a medal.
