ALSATIAN DOGS
EMBARGO IN AUSTRALIA' REQUEST FOR REMOVAL MELBOURNE, Aug. 4 In replying to a deputation which had asked that tho embargo on Alsatian dogs should be lifted, Mr. T. W. White, Minister of Customs, said strong protests had been received from graziers' organisations against further importation of these dogs. Personally, said the Minister, ho feared Alsatians would become a menace, and he expressed the opinion that the embargo on their importation should bo continued. However, ho promised Jo refer the deputation's representations to the Federal Cabinet.
