HARRIER RACING
PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Tho Auckland provincial cross-country championships will bo held over the Ellerslie courso to-morrow week, according' to » decision made at the last meeting of th<» ihp.rrier sub-committee of the Auckland Athletic Association. Both the A and B grade championships will be decided, teams to consist of six competitors, with four to count. In addition a sealed handicap for each grade will bo decided. ! The course, which is approximately 6J miles, will start from the Ellerslie racecourse, extending around Lake St. John and surrounding country, thence back to the racecourse. Four events will be conducted at the Prosperity Week combined sports meeting, to bo'held at Alexandra Park to-morrow, The events will bo a three miles steeplejphase handicap, a 75yds. sprint handicap, throwing the discus handicap and puttirg the shot handicap. An entry of over 130 has been received for the steeplechase event. All events will commence at C.4.1 p.m.
