EGGS AGAIN CHEAPER SCARCITY OF FISH A decrease of 2d a dozen in the prices of lien and duck eggs is the principal change in the retail values of foodstuffs during the past week. Eggs are now selling at Is a dozen, compared with 1b 6d and Is 5d two weeks ago. Tree tomatoes are Id dearer at 6d to 8d a pound. While there are no supplies of Fiji mandarins and pineapples, Californian apricots and plums have appeared on the market at Is 3d to Is 6d a pound. New potatoes are selling at 3d to 5d a pound Most varieties of fish are scarce, but there are no alterations in prices.
