V THE CRUISER DIOMEDE TO RECOMMISSION AFTER UNDERGOING AN EXTENSIVE REFIT AT AUCKLAND One of the whaleboats on H.M.S. Diomede being lifted on board yesterday after being renovated at the Devonport Naval Base. The cruiser is being recommissioned after a complete overhaul. Officers and about 150 ratings have arrived by the liner Rangitane from England and are to replace the Diomede's original crew to-day.
