The latest mail brings details of this astonishing economy trial, run under direct observation of the Royal Automobile Club. A Hillman Minx Stock Car was handed over to a driver with the sum of five guineas this to pay for petrol, oil, grease, repairs and replacements, (actually the only repair required was a broken speedometer cable.) The car was loaded with driver, R.A.C. observer, passenger, and baggage.
