QUOTAS
Sir, —Should quotas mean the decreed cutting down of individual output of wool, meat, butter, cheeso etc., what about those unfortunate people who have just taken up land and therefore have no previous output to decrease by 20 per cent,? Are these to be told to stay out of the game? Again, what of those sadly-battered sheepmen who, to eke out a mere existence (and pay unemployment levy) are on tho point of milking A few cows this year. Their last year's output was nil, so 20 per cent off nil is—. Fred. C. S. Lawson.
