HOTTEST DAY OF YEAR PEOPLE COLLAPSE AT RACES (Received July £7, 5.45 p.m.) LONDON. July 27 A temperature of 88 degrees m the shade was recorded in London and other places far apart in Britain yesterday. It was the hottest day of the year. Many people collapsed at the Goodwood races.
