Several delegates expressed the opinion that the remit verged too much on politics. "If the institutes and the Government find that the camps are tho only way to givo our husbands work then my husband shall go," she continued, adding that her husband was applying for relief after losing everything. A resolution was carried urging tho tightening of film censorship and appointment of two representatives of women's organisations to tho Censorship Board. Another remit carried was that in the interests of the physical, social anil moral welfare of tho young people of New Zealand, members should, use their influence to abolish the use of alcoholic drinks at dances.
