ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY
REMANDED FOR SENTENCE On four charges of incest, Frederick William Seaton, aged 40, boot repairer (Mr. Butler), stood his trial in tlio Supremo Court yesterday. Mr. .Tustieo Smith was on the Bench, and Mr. Hubble prosecuted. Accused pleaded not guilty. It was alleged by the Crown that accused committed incest last year with a girl stated to be his daughter. Evidence was called to show that tho girl was born on September 24, 1914, at Palmerston North, and that accused signed tho register as her father. Mr. Butler contended the Crown had tailed to establish that accused and tho girl were father and daughter. After a retirement of a-quarter of an hour the jury returned a verdict of guilty. Prisoner was remanded for sentence.
