RUNAWAY TRUCKS
CRASH OVER EMBANKMENT GUARD LEAPS TO SAFETY (Received July 25. 8.35 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 25 A number of fully laden coal trucks to-day bolted down an incline on a private railway in West Maitland, 120 miles north of Sydney. They crashed over a 24ft. embankment and became a tangled mass of iron and matchwood. The guard leapt to safety before the trucks had gained much headway.
