SUPPORT FOR BUS SERVICE • SPORTS GROUND EXTENSIONS ' Expressing a unanimous view that a curtailment of the existing service was not desirable, the Papakura Town ,/■ /' Board decided on Monday evening to support the appeal of the Auckland Provincial Bus Company against the recent decision of tho No. 2 Licensing Authority to make approximately a 40 per. cent cut in the services operating I between Pukekoho and Auckland. Tho board decided to metal that part of Green Street, fronting tho eastern side of Princo Edward Park. ; A plan of proposed work in Prince Edward Park for tho formation of extra playing fields for winter team sports, , ah outlined at tho last meeting of the ' board, was brought forward by the foreman and was approved by the board. Tho chairman, Mr. H. E. McEntee, reported that he would shortly be meeting representatives of the Unemploy- / ment Board in regard to tho question of relief workers being available to undertake and complete the work in tho park. / =
