PUBLIC TRUST BALL
GAY SCENE PRESENTED The Peter Pan Cabaret was thfonged with dancers last evening for the annual ball of the District Public Trustee and officers of the Public Trust Office. Bowls of flowers on the small tables surrounding the dance floor made attractive decorations while many ot the dances were under the dim g° w of shaded lights, this adding considerably to the charm of the scene. A novelty danco was held in which a "mystery" man and woman played an important part. The latest music was rendered by the cabaret band, many items being repeatedly encored by the enthusiastic guests. The ladies on the committee were:—Miss K. Donovan, who wore a frock of autumn angel skin lace; Miss F. Wells, in jade green angel skin lace and velvet; Miss N. M. Danglow.'Burgundy flat crepe; Miss M. J. Maxwell, white velvet; Miss h.. IS. Grant, black georgette and lace. Among those present were:—Mrs. A. S Fa ire, who wore black lace; Mrs. A. L. McKeown, jade green sqtin; Mrs. Howard Jones, black lace and velvet; Mrs. B. C. B. Dickson, salmon pink taffeta; Mrs. G. Myers, black lace, Mrs It. C. Russell, apricot satin beaute; Mrs. C. A. Snedden coral pink georgette; Mrs. I'. M. Norton, black panne velvet; Mrs. G. Maxwell, waterlil.v green georgette; Mrs. K. O. Steers, black satin; Mrs. Stanley Hill, white satin; Mrs. It. Boss, black and white crinkled crepe; Mrs. H. Dowsing, sage green satin and lace; Mrs. L Ricks, black velvet; Mrs. L. Kingsland, blabk crinkled crepe*. Miss Lucy Spellman, emerald green lace; Miss Mary Spellman, parma violet satin; Miss Lee Heaton, geranium red ace; Miss Belle Heaton, pervanche blue lace; Miss Meadows, bottle green satin; Mrs. P Roe, Duchess blue satin; Miss Wendy Vokes, black floral taffeta. Miss D. Harrison wore wine velvet; Miss M. Christie, gold satin; Miss J. Taylor, black satin; Miss.D. E. Burns, daffodil satin; Miss Metcalfe, peach georgette; Miss Bavlis, parma violet frilled net; Miss Theo Smith, geranium red lace; Miss A. Boyle, almond green crinkled crepe; Miss 3\f. Connor, white and blue sprigged taffeta; Miss N.
