SINGLE HEAVY IRON CLUB R. A. Glen, a one-club golfer, was a competitor in the Bath Golfing Societv's tournament, winch was played at Sandwich, England, last month, and in spite of his self-imposed handicap ho beat his man on the last green to earn a place in the second round. Glen s one club, a heavy iron, is only a year or two younger than the player, who is CO. It was formerly the property ot his father.-If you, ask Glen why he employs the same club for every shot ho says, " I know it's all wrong, but I find it much more amusing to make my iron do the work of a full sot of .clubs." His handicap is 15, and it is often a matter for debato whether he would reduce it if lie had a bagful or clubs.
