THE QUEEN CONTEST allocating donations MORE ATTRACTIONS DECIDED It has been decided that a fitting finale to Prosperity Week will bo a repetition of tho Heart of Auckland pageant, produced by Madame Edith Baird, which was a feature of tho recent Auckland City Mission fair. Tho presentation of this peageant will be made after tho coronation ceremony in connection with tho queen contest. Tho pageant will culminate in the formation of a living word, "Prosperity." Tho board of trustees in control of tho Prosperity Week arrangements met yesterday. With rofcronco to a suggestion that all public bodies should allocate their contributions equally among tho various queens, it was decided that as tho Auckland Electric-Power Board had nominated a queen, ai\d as tho donations of tho Power Board and the Transport Board had already been allocated, tho trustees could not now intervene. It was decided to make a price concession at the Arabian Nights ball to all fancy dress sets of 10 or more persons who make application before August 3. A decision was made to hold the sports committee's juvenile function, a "back to childhood party," after tho Arabian Nights ball, and between August 4 and 10. At a meeting convened by the Mayor of Devonport yesterday, representatives of various bodies in tho borough, including the Navy, tho Army, schools, churches and sports bodies, made various arrangements. Tho donation is to be paid in two sums of £125, the first during tho present financial year of tho board, and the second after September 30, when tho next financial year commences.
