SOUTH AUCKLAND AFFAIRS [FROM OUtt OWN COKRKSPONDKNT] HAMILTON, Wednesday Tlio first annual meeting of _ tho South Auckland I3rass Bauds' Union was held last evening, the president, Mr. J. I?. Fow, presiding. The committee reported that 14 bands had affiliated with tho union, and that successful contest, in which baiius competed, had been held at taster. The meeting adopted the following remits:—That a hymn test bo held m: place of a quartette; that the quickstep bo a separate competition, and that the aggregate points be for selection and hymn; that tho bands place*!., second be awarded trophies.
