TENNIS PARTNERSHIP
MRS. MOODY AND HUSBAND Mrs. Helen Wills-Moody, world's lady champion lawn tennis player, partnered her husband, Mr. Frederick Moody, for the first time in a combined doubles tournament at the California Tennis Club in San Francisco, in May. The occasion was the club's annual handicap combined doubles tournament. Their impost was owe thirty. Their opponents—and conquerors—were Max Lilienthal and Lora Williamson, whose handicap was plus fifteen. Fred Moody plays .a pretty good game of tennis considering the short time ho has been at it and the defeat which was administered to him and his wife on their first venture in tournament play was duo mostly to tho largo handicap which they carried, says a writer in American Lawn Tennis. Fred's serve is very good and accounted for a number o'f aces for his team, and his forehand drivo also won many points, but—well, you know how handicap tournaments are.
