HOPES OF BETTER PRICES WOOL AND MEAT RISING (Received July 10, G. 45 p.m.) SYDNEY. July 10 Mr. A. Trethcwan, a leading authority 011 pastoral matters, has warned wool growers not to sign agreements with speculators who aro touring the country until they see how tho market is going in August when tho new series of sales will begin. Ho says he thinks tho opening sales will be at least ou per cent ahead of those of the previous year. Mr. Tret ho wan says tho improvement in meat prices is most encouraging. Tho value of mutton in England has doubled in three months, and as a result fat stock which was selling at only 8s to 9s a few months ago nowr is fetching 20s to 28s.
