PLAYERS FOR TRAINING The following players who have been selected by Mr. W. Newaham .to go into training in preparation for the forthcoming representative hockey game against Poverty Bay. are reciueßted to meet at the New Zealand Brewery Company's recreation grounds in Kliyber Pass at 7.80 o'clock this evening:—'Vail, C. Smith, T. . Parker. H. Williams, F. Clark, C. Radcliffe, N. Broun, L. Hedges, T. Clark. S. Robertson, M. Jones, M. Bay, P. Crawley, M. Vipond, D, Reed. P. Anthony. R. Philpott, E. Watta, C. Watts, F. Wellbourne. REFEREES' ASSOCIATION Permission to referee the New South Wales-Auckland ladies' hockey match to ba played next Friday was granted Messrs. G. Peace and H. E. Watts nt. last evening's meeting of the Auckland Hockey Referees' Association. Mr. Watts was also given permission to referee the Nordon between Waipa and Taranaki (holders) to bo held at Waitara on Thursday week. Mr. H. F. Bollard, the association's delegate to the New Zealand Hockey Referees' Association, and the secretary of that association arid the Wellington Hockey Association, was present, and was welconigd by the chairman. It was reported that Messrs. IT. C. McQuarrie and L. Goodenough, of Whangarei, both gained passes in their recent practical examinations. It was decided to hold a .theory examination at the next meeting to be held on Monday week. For Kopuaralii Renshaw scored twice and Bowen once. For Thames Thornton and Jensen scored. Wanderers and Kerepeehi drew, four goals each. Pearson, S. Donkin, R. Carson and D. McCleary scored for Wanderers. H. Candy scored three times and Thompson once for Kerepeehi.
