CLOCHES BE CORNEVILLE
A splendid cast, full operatic chorus and ballet, and brilliant diologuo arc features of "Les Cloches do Corneville," the Auckland Amateur Operatic Society's production which is now being presented at His Majesty's Theatre. The ballets have been trained by Miss Daphne Knight, the producer, and tho choruses by Mr. Colin Muston. The opera is ono of tho most spectacular tho society has presented. Tho second act, depicting tho interior of the castle of Cornovillo, makes a magnificent scene, and special llchtinti has been arranged to give tho designers full scope. Many of the properties used in this scene, including 0110 of the suits of armour, candelabrum, table and oak chest are genuine antiques. The opera will bo presented until Monday next, and there will be a matinee on Saturday afternoon. j
