MAORI HOCKEY TOURNEY

One hundred Maori hockey pl/yers and officials arrived to-day from Napier, this being tho first of several contingents of those interested in next week's tournament. When the contingents from tho East Coast and the Bay of Plertty arrive, probably 011 Monday, there will be several hundred players assembled at tho well-known Kaiti meeting house, where the visitors will bo accommodated and provisioned. In all there will be 23 women's and 22 men's teams competing in the tournament, for which handsome memorial trophies are available.
