TWO TEAMS SUSPENDED
TROUBLE IN RUGBY GAME [by telegraph—OWN corresi'ondent] MASTKRTON, Friday The Rugby Union had before it, at its monthly meeting at Carterton last evening, matters arising from the football fracas at Masterton last Saturday. The referee reported that ho had ordered a Gladstono player off tho field. It was alleged that after leaving the field tho offending player had criticised the referee's ruling. In reply to a question tho refereo said that he considered that the case was ono of indiscriminate kicking. As the player had not complied with a request to appear before the union, ho was suspended until ho did so. In connection with tho troublo that developed later in the game, it was decided, to hold a full investigation into the matter at a special meeting next Thursday night; In the meantime both the Gladstone and tho Masterton junior tenms wore suspended Two senior players in another match were suspended for one Saturday, both players having been ordered off tho field by the referee.
