COLLAPSE IN CHURCH
DEATH OF A PRIEST The Rev. Father John Parker, while officiating- at the evening devotions at St. Mary's Church, East Orange, New South Wales, on May 8, returned to the sacristy to put 011 vestments for the Benediction. He then walked to tho altar and announced that he was sorry that he could not continue, as he did not feel well. He returned to tho sacristy, where he collaj%?d. Members of the congregation gave assistance and he was removed t.o a private hospital, , where he died soon afterwards. Father Parker was -19 years of age. He was a native of Capertee, and was educated at St. Patrick's College, Manly, and ordained there in 1909. Since' then he had been connected with the Bat hurst diocese, being stationed ab a number of western towns. He went to Orange in January last. .
