TROOPS IN CHINA
PEKING-MUKDEN LINE OBSTACLE TO ARMISTICE f PEKING. June 15 An announcement from Tokio states that the withdrawal of Japanese troops to the Great Wall will be completed within a week. Tho chief remaining obstacle to the fulfilment of the Tangku armistice appears to be tho presence along the Peking-Mukden railway of 5000 pro-Manchukuo irregular troops under General Li Chiehun. Negotiations over this problem are now proceeding with the object of the early restoration of traffic between Peking and Chinv.angtao. THREAT BY BANDITS FRENCH FAMILY'S DANGER SHANGHAI. June 15 An unusual form of banditry is reported from .Mukden. A Frenchman, M. Andre Boxio, received a threat that he, his wife and three children would be killed unless 25,000 dollars were handed to an emissary. The authorities are taking all precautions.
