PUPIL SAVES MASTER

A science master at Windcmere Grammar School, England, Mr. L. W. Brown, had a narrow escape from death while climbing in the Lake District recently with a 14-year-old scholar at the school, Morris Nixon. They were ascending Easter Gully, at Coniston, when Mr. Brown slipped and fell about 40 feet. Dixon braced himself for the jolt on the ropo, and for nearly, u quarter of an hour plnckily hold on. The boy's shouts for help were heard by a number of climbers in the next gully, who rescued Mr. Brown.
