OPOTIKI SUNSHINE LEAGUE

At the annual meeting of the Opotiki Sunshine League, the fifth annual report of tho president, Mrs. A. P. Stuart, stated that the finances of the league were now in a very satisfactory state, a credit balance of £6l 3* Cd being shown by the treasurer, Mrs. Sinclair. Fortnightly visits had been paid to the hospital throughout the year, when gifts of fruit, flowers, cigarettes and tobacco were made to the patients. The election of officers resulted as follows: —President, Mrs. G. Gordon, vice-presidents, Mrs. Morice, Mrs. Downey, Mrs. Grant, Mrs. Hird and Mrs. Quirk; treasurer Mrs. Sinclair! secretary, .Mrs. C. H. 1-lemmg; auditor, Mr. T. H. Pearson; added to the committee, Mrs. Hedley and M rs - Morrell. Tho retiring president, slrs. A. P« Stuart, was made a life member.
