111 connection with tho jubilee celebrations of tlie Takapuna Methodist Church a social gathering was hold at the church on Thursday evening, when past members gave interesting reminiscences of tho early days. Among the older members present were Messrs. J. Murray, J. Wallace, J. Collins, S. /r'cifliths, TV. J. Elliott and the Rev. Mitchell. Items were rendered by the choir, and the ceremony of cutting the jubilee cake was performed by Mrs. Prior. The l?ev. E. S. Emmeft, minister of tho church, presided.
