MAORI WOMAN CHARGED
A young Maori woman, Sarah Karamaene, employed as a domestic, pleaded not guilty in the Police Court yesterday to the theft of a dress valued at £7 19s Gd, the property of a city store. "I understand she has a young child and the Salvation Army has undertaken to look after her in the meantime," said Detective-Sergeant O'Sullivan in securing a remand until Junc 21.
