Other societies and professions were being approached. It was stated that arrangements had been made for Mr. J. D. Mc~Nlillan to address a meeting of the Wellington committee, after which practical proposals would be placed before the Unemployment Board for co-operation and action. A letter setting out the aims of the association has been sent_ to public accountants, and similar circulars are to be forwardsd to lawyers, engineers, estate agents, architects and stock brokers. In this circular, it is stated, the association represents a national effort at restoration through development and reoganisation of business. Ways and means of guaranteeing interest or dividends on new investments for, perhaps, three years, were being examined. It was pointed out that new investments meant new business and consequently employment, and it was hoped to profit by the experience and advice of all qualified to guide in the business field.
