THE WAIKATO SOCIETY [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday There was a large attendance of members at the annual meeting of the Waikato Society of Model and Experimental Engineers last evening. The annual report stated that the society had experienced a successful year. There had been a series of lectures, combined with interesting demonstrations. Reference was made in the report to the assistance given to the society by Mr. W. H. Paul, chairman of the Hamilton Domain Board. Owing to his co-operation the society had been provided with a splendid lagoon for sailing models. As secretary of the Waikato Winter Show, Mr. Paul had afforded every facility for an effective exhibition of engineering models. The balance-sheet showed a small credit balance. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr. W. H. Paul; president, Mr. J. Treloar; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. Reeves and J. Penniket; organiser, Mr. A. N. Wakefield; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. F. Thomas; committee, Messrs. G. W. Hope-Johnstone, J. Martin, A. Bryce, J. Harman, W. Toulson, R. 8011, G. Morgan, H. Young; auditor, Mr. C. E. Shakeshaft.
