LATE MR. HINKLER
ITALIAN HONOURS AUSTRALIA'S GRATITUDE LONDON, June 2 The Australian Minister in London, Mr. S. M. Bruce, to-day called on tho Itajian Ambassador, Signor Grandi, and expressed Australia's gratitude for Italian sympathy and kindness in connection with the death of Mr. Bert Hinkler. Mr. Bruce informed Signor Grandi that the Federal Government was sending the prefect of Strada di Casentino a gift in recognition of the honours his townspeople had rendered to Mr. Hinkler's remains. The Arezzo Aero Club has erected n cross at~the scene of tho tragedy. Later it will substitute a marble tablet. Mrs. Hinkler has arrived in London. She is to leave immediately for her home in Southampton, but has no definite plans for the future.
