FORTY HOURS' PROPOSAL GENEVA, June 13 The International Labour Conference to-day, by 69 votes to 55, decided against proceeding this year with an international convention to limit industrial and commercial hours to_ 40 a week. However, it resolved by 95 votes to 26 that the question was a suitable subject for a future convention.
