TARANAKI BENEFACTOR LARGE SUMS FOR PARKS GIFT TO HOSPITAL BOARD [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] NEW PLYMOUTH. Wednesday Public bequests made by the will of Mr. C. S. Sanders, who died at NewPlymouth last week, are:--£IOOO to the Westein Park Board: £SOO to tho board controlling reserves; £350 to the New Plymouth Borough Council for a rhododendron dell in Pukekura Park; £250 to the New Zealand cancer campaign; 1:250 to the Stratford Public Hospital. The residue of the estate, after private bequests, is bequeathed on trust; for the benefit of Pukekura Park. New Plymouth. It is understood the residue will be a substantial sum. Mr. Sanders was once owner of Ngaere Gardens. GIFTS MADE TO CHARITY LATE MR. J. A. JOHNSTONE [BV TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIX, Wednesday Under the will of Mr. J. A. John* stone, managing director of Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd., who died at Dunedin last month, the following bequests to charity are made:—To Dr. Barnado's Homes, £500; Salvation Army, £500; Presbyterian Social Service Association, Dunedin, £IOOO of the perpetual debenture stock in Wright, Stephenson and Company, Ltd. Mr. Johnstone had intended to make a bequest to the Royal Zealand Society for the Health of Women and Children, and though this was not provided for in the will Mrs. Johnstone is giving to the society in accordance with her husband's expressed wish, £SOO of debenture stock in Wright, Stephenson and Company. Ltd. Mr. Johnstone's estate was sworn for probate purposes at £200,000.
