HARBOUR BRIDGE PLAN
NORTH SHORE CONFERENCE The position of the Auckland harbour bridge project and the question of amalgamation of the four North Shore boroughs are to be discussed at a conference in August to be called by the Birkenhead Borough Council. A letter from the Auckland Harbour' - Bridge Company, received bv the Bir--'; kenhead council last evening, stated the inquiry regarding the prospects or the company being able to arrange the necessarv finance and start- construe* tion would be considered at the next;-,* monthlv meeting of the directors. Mr. J. Macdonald said he was not satisfied with the progress being made, ajul the matter should be discussed at the combined meeting of the North 5 .. Shore councils.
