DISTEMPER AMONG DOGS
PREVALENCE IN CANTERBURY [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHKISTCHURCH, Wednesday Distemper among clogs lias been very prevalent in Canterbury recently and some sheep farmers have lost their entire teams. The general committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association decided to-day to ask lor reports on the disease from the Department of Agriculture and from its own veterinary surgeons. The committee also decided to ask county councils to set aside .a portion of the proceeds from the sale of dog licences toward a fund for combating the disease.
