AMBULANCE WORK
CADET BRANCH PROGRESS Inaugurated a few years ago the cadet branch of the St. John Ambulance Brigade has achieved remarkable success. It was formed to provide facilities for juveniles to meet for instruction in first aid, home nursing and kindred subjects, to develop the spirit of teamwork and to improve health and physical vigour by means of games and exercises. The organisation has made rapid strides in New Zealand and there aie now 51 Cadet Divisions (25 boy and 26 girl), and it is hoped in the near future to establish divisions in all places where the work of St. John is carried out.
