PATRIOTIC FUNDS
PRINCIPAL ASSOCIATIONS Tho strength of the financial resources of tho principal patriotic associations in New Zealand was indicated by Sir James Gunson at an executive meeting of the Auckland association yesterday, when the annual reports of the Canterbury, Wairarapa. Otago and Southland organisations were received. "These four societies have funds totalling £134,000," said Sir James. "Adding £72,000 possessed by Auckland and £20,000 by Wellington, it will be seen that tho balance of patriotic funds held by the principal societies in New Zealand is £226,000, of which Auckland holds about one-third."
