MR. HULL'S REFERENCE
STATEMENT TO JOURNALISTS LONDON. June i) The lender of the United States delecation to the World Economic Conference, Mr. Cordell H nil. was questioned by 40 American and British journalists ill reference to his reported use of the term " Irish Republic " at Cork. He said be had been conferring for months with Free State representative. He regretted that some people failed to rise to the level of a great occasion but sought to divert attention to little side consideraions. Mr. Hull refused to discuss war debts on the ground that the subject was not included in the agenda of the conference.
