JOHANNESBURG MATCH WORN DOWN BY LOCAL SIDE (Received June 11. 5.5 p.m.) CAPETOWN, June 10 In a Rugby Union football match at, Johannesburg to-day a Reef and Country team defeated the Australian team (the Wallabies) by l-'i points to 6 The weather was bright and cold, and 20,000 spectators were present. Play was hard and gruelling, but not spectacular. The home side wore down the Wallabies. In the concluding stages the latter launched several attacks in efforts to save the game, but mishandling in critical movements ruined their chances. THE LEAGUE GAME WIN FOR NEW SOUTH WALES (Received June 11. 5.5 p.m.) SYDNEY. June 11 Tn a Rugby League match yesterday New South Wales defeated Queensland by 17 points to 14.
